Drivin’

I know it’s crazy,
since I do not drive.
I am not lazy
as some may contrive.

I simply do not
have the desire.
I simply do not
want to “roll” the tire

I do, however,
like going places.
I will go where ever
there’s friendly faces.

I do realize
it’s because of you,
I do not disguise
the things that you do.

I want to thank you
for doing all that
I’ve asked you to do
in regards to that.

I promise you now
that someday, somewhere;
I’ll try to some how
take on my own share.
