Just the other night
we had a debate,
“Whether or not,
I truly create.”
I think I do not
since stories I tell
come not from deep thought
but some inner well.
You say that I do
since I put a bit
of my inner self
with the rest of it.
Which of us is right?
The debate shall live,
until one of us
tires and says, “I give.”
