We left this morning
to seek out the court
and submit our plea
in this cruel life sport.
The slumlord did not
bother to attend.
The situation
therefore did not end.
We spoke not a word,
the lawyer did that
and the judge sat there
as cool as a kat.
It wasn’t as bad as
I thought it would be
and I hope our case
goes successfully.
