You said for three days
I had been so rude.
That statement, of course,
just worsened my mood.
I was thinking back
to the days before,
and just could not see
where “rude” was full bore.
Each day I try hard
to make fam’ly life
move forward a bit
with less and less strife.
I try my hardest
to be all I can,
as a father and
your loving “old man”.
I guess I must fail,
ev’ry now and then.
So I’ll say “Sorry”
to you yet again.
But know that deep down
I want nothing more
than to witness your
inner spirit soar.
