You were out shopping
and the boys were tired.
Off to the bedroom,
we went to retire.
The boys showed me where
I was to lie down.
Both climbed in their beds
with nary a frown.
TJ fell asleep
before Eli did.
I did too, until
he lift my eyelid.
The blanket of night
continued creeping.
and soon all of us
found ourselves sleeping.
